I love how flickr lays out all your favorites like a little patchwork quilt of favoritey goodness.

I don’t believe in prayer. But right now, I wish I did.

I took this photo this morning and it made me think of more ideas.
I think I might do a mini “sub-project” where I do a haiku a day for a month? Maybe write a haiku about that day on a piece of paper and make a mini-collage and photograph it. I dunno.

silly walks!!!

silly walks!!!

The strangest thing just happened.

I walked outside, and it was silent. Completely silent.

No cars. No planes. No men hammering on stuff. I wasn’t expecting it. It was startling at first. Eerie.

It stayed like that for about 5 minutes, then a car went past. As soon as that sound died, a kid went by on a skateboard. I waited for the silence to come back, but as soon as the sound died, a plane flew by. I started thinking that the world conspires against the silence, about how rare and endangered a thing like that is. Then more cars, then someone started hammering. I waited. Then it was silent again.

Do you know what it was like?

It was golden!

Yeah, gotta do more art. More more more more more…

medium and large scale
search for, gather, look at inspirational pieces
sketch and write down ideas
begin to make a list of supplies needed
go to antique stores, junk yards, thrift stores for materials (it takes a LOT of junk!)
go back to Lakeland for remaining art supplies there
search eBay for unusual materials needed (old photos for ex.)
