the worst sounds...?

According to this article:

1. Vomiting

2. Microphone feedback

3. Wailing babies

4. Train scraping on tracks

5. Squeaky seesaw

6. Poorly played violin

7. Whoopee cushion

8. Argument in a soap opera

9. Mains hum

10. Tasmanian devil

Whoopie cushion? Really? Tasmanian devil? My equivalent would be a peacock. Horrible!

They are all awful sounds, especially the first four. I would add to the list…

• pop music and christmas music
• a New Hampshire or Canadian accent
• loud eating sounds, lip smacking
• snoring
• coughing and nose blowing, which are very common these days
• that knocking sound the dryer makes
• the sound of my roommate laughing
• Geddy Lee’s voice, Fran Drescher’s voice
• anyone talking in a loud, self important way on a cell phone
• traffic
• car alarms OMFG

There are so many more that I can’t think of right now!
